Overview
Scottsdale Culinary Institute is one of a limited number of schools in the United States that offers the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts program. The school strives to provide a diverse culinary education combining classical and modern cooking philosophies and techniques.
As its name implies, the school’s two campuses are situated in Scottsdale, AZ, a city famous for its resorts and golf courses and part of the Phoenix metropolitan area, one of the fastest growing job markets in the U.S.
Students can gain invaluable experience that employers value through the school’s highly acclaimed on-campus restaurant. An externship program is another method that students pick up useful real-world training that makes students more marketable.

Students may seek an associate’s degree or certificate programs in culinary arts or pastry making and baking. An associate’s degree is also available in restaurant management.
Scottsdale Culinary Institute Admissions and Financial Aid
The application process requires prospective students to provide evidence of a high school diploma or the equivalent. The school seeks motivated candidates who have a strong interest in cooking and hospitality management.
Tuition assistance may be available for qualifying applicants. Many students receive aid from the government, private loans and grants. To help students in charting a course to meet their financial obligations to the school, the school has a Tuition Planning staff.
Faculty
The school’s teaching staff are chefs themselves and have the tools to provide their students with a combination of hands-on, practical lessons as well as the theory behind the art. A career services department actively assists students in securing appropriate positions in the field after graduation.
Student Life
The eclectic student population is of all ages and backgrounds. Some are currently working in the food industry looking to upgrade their careers while others have just completed high school or are seeking a change of career.
The school does not offer on-campus dormitory facilities. There are approximately 1000 students at the school.
