South Seattle Community College was founded in 1970. The college is also nicknamed SSCC. It is located in West Seattle, Washington. The college is a part of the Seattle Community College District. It also offers an education center, apart from its main campus.

SSCC offers a number of degree programs and certificate programs. Some of the academic divisions of the college are the engineering and computer science department, the math department and the English department.
