Shelton State Community College is a two-year community college located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It was established on January 1, 1979. SSCC is operated by the Alabama State Department of Postsecondary Education and is one of the largest two-year colleges in the state. More than 6,000 students are enrolled every semester in various forms of coursework, including more than 2,500 full-time students.

SSCC has two campuses- Martin Campus and the C.A. Fredd campus. The college sponsors six varsity sports teams, which compete in the Alabama Community College Conference in the NJCAA. Its sports teams are nicknamed the Buccaneers.
