Shenandoah University, also known as SU, is situated in Winchester, Virginia, United States. It was established in the year 1875 as Shenandoah Seminary. Dr. Abraham Paul Funkhouser and Professor Jay Newton Fries played vital roles in the establishment of the university. It became a university in 1991. SU offers degrees through its six schools, which are:

  • Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy
  • College of Arts and Sciences
  • Harry F. Byrd, Jr. School of Business
  • School of Education and Human Development
  • School of Health Professions
  • Shenandoah Conservatory

SU's athletic teams are known as the Hornets. Students participate in various sports including basketball, cross country, football, golf, field hockey, baseball, lacrosse, track and field, softball, tennis, soccer, and volleyball.
