Founded in 1889, the Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, also known as The Rock or SRU, is a public master's-level university. It is located in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania and offers several doctoral programs in cooperation with the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. It is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The campus covers an area of 611 acres.

SRU offers an array of degrees and programs in diverse fields of study. The university is organized into the following academic divisions:
