Founded in 1889, the Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, also known as The Rock or SRU, is a public master's-level university. It is located in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania and offers several doctoral programs in cooperation with the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. It is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The campus covers an area of 611 acres.
