Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College is located in Cumberland, KY. It is one of the 16 two-year, open-admissions colleges under the Kentucky Community and Technical College System. It was originally established in 1960 as the Southeast Center of the University of Kentucky. SKCTC offers associate degree programs in several areas of study. The college also operates campuses in Cumberland, Harlan, Middlesboro, Pineville and Whitesburg.

SKCTC's athletics department fields a large number of men's and women's sports teams, which participate in sports like volleyball, basketball and hiking. The campus is also home to several student clubs and organizations.
