Overview of Southwestern College
Southwestern College is a "skills-first" institution of learning with five campus locations spanning the states of Ohio and Kentucky. The college prepares its students for future employment by training them in basic skills with real-world applications. Students can earn associate's degrees, diplomas, or certificates in various areas of study in the allied health, information technology, criminal justice, and business fields. Originally known as the Southwestern College of Business, the institution began as a two-campus school with locations in Hamilton, Ohio and Franklin, Ohio. Over the years, the college expanded to five campus locations and now boasts four Ohio campuses as well as a campus located in Florence, Kentucky. In 2004, Southwestern was purchased by Lincoln Educational Services Corporation, which also owns and operates over twenty other schools including eight Lincoln Technical Institute schools.

Southwestern College Admissions
Prospective applicants for admission should begin by completing an online form, after which an admissions representative will be in touch to answer questions and provide information and application materials. Interested students are invited to visit the college and tour the campus.
Southwestern College Faculty Quality
Southwestern boasts a skilled and knowledgeable faculty dedicated to the professional development of each student. Instructors work with students on a one-on-one basis, helping each student master the skills needed to get the job the student wants. Faculty members are well-connected career service professionals, many of which have a good amount of work experience in the same fields they teach.

Enrollment varies by campus and ranges from a low of about 280 students to a high of over 800. Total student population across all five campus locations is in excess of 2,300. Approximately 85% of the total student body is female.
Southwestern College Student Life
Southwestern is a commuter college and as such, does not offer student housing. Most of the campuses, however, have plenty of available free parking. The Dayton campus offers a beautiful river view and fast access to the city. The Franklin campus is housed in a renovated elementary school built in 1931 that still retains its classic appearance. Both Cincinnati campuses offer computer laboratories and medical labs. The Kentucky campus in Florence is conveniently located off the Route 75 expressway just 10 minutes south of Cincinnati.
