Spartanburg Community College, SSC, is a two year co-educational community college in Upstate, South Carolina. Established in 1963, it was formerly known as Spartanburg Technical College. The present name was given in 2006. The college, which has a 104 acre campus, offers certificates, diplomas, and associate's degree in fields including health care, arts, science, technology and business. The academic divisions of the college are as follows:

  • Industrial & Engineering Technologies Division

SCC has a Student Council that conveys the views of students to the authorities and also helps to arrange events. There are many student clubs and organizations including the Success Network Club, the Social Sciences Club, Mu Alpha Theta (Math Club), the Student Nurses' Association, and the American Sign Language Club. Eligible students can take advantage of scholarships, grants, loans, and work study programs for financial aid.
