Stevenson University (formerly Villa Julie College) was established in the year 1947 by the sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Previously, Villa Julie College was a community college for local residents. The campus spreads over an area of 80 acres. The college offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study.
Stevenson University’s athletics department sponsors several men’s and women’s sports teams. They are nicknamed the Mustangs. The college's athletic teams participate in sports such as basketball, baseball, and track. The campus is home to several clubs and organizations based on the varied interests of the students.
