Stratford Career Institute (SCI) is a privately-owned, distance-education school available to students across North America. Seeing a need to provide education to busy adults, the school opened its doors in 1991. Today, SCI offers more than 60 at-home vocational training programs to students in a wide variety of career fields. Via home study, SCI makes it possible for students to upgrade existing skills or learn new ones at a time and place that is convenient for them. Over 1 million students have enrolled through SCI.
Stratford Career Institute maintains memberships with the United States Distance Learning Association, the Canadian Network for Innovation in Education, and the International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE).
Points of Distinction
Stratford Career Institute seeks to provide students with a state-of-the-art distance education aimed at career advancement, self-improvement, or the fulfillment of the student's personal goals. SCI's qualified instructors are available to give personal assistance via toll-free phone or e-mail whenever students have a question.
Most of SCI's students are career-focused individuals who already have demanding schedules and families. Therefore, SCI uses a distance learning approach, replacing the requirement to attend classes with a flexible, convenient, independent study approach. All educational materials are delivered directly to the student's door, and online tools are used to take exams, obtain grades and more. Since the student is studying at his/her own pace, courses can be completed in as little as six months. Students may take up to two years to earn a career diploma.
