Strayer University (SU) has been helping people further their education and advance their careers since 1892. Areas of Study

With such a large amount of campuses, plus online courses, anyone can find the classes they want close to home, and if no campus options exist close to home online options are always available. There is a wide assortment of programs available, but all courses are not available online or at every campus. Some of these programs that are available include Professional Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Information Systems, Public Administration, and Educational Management. All programs, regardless if they are online or hosted at one of the campuses, prepares students for the work place in the best ways possible.

Strayer University Selectivity

At Strayer University, the admissions process allows for a wide variety of applicants. The college is well known for granting life and core credits for past work experience and classes. The application process to get admitted to Strayer University includes the need for proof of a high school graduation or equivalent. The application, and its fee, must be submitted in order to start the process, along with any past transcripts, work experience, or references. To get into a graduate program, applicants must provide a copy of their degree, along with all other transcript information.

Strayer University Faculty Quality

The faculty and staff at Strayer University are all professionals that have worked in the industries they teach. Professors that are part of the Strayer University faculty are all of the highest caliber, with a love of teaching and a dedication to their students. Both online and classroom content is geared toward the real-world knowledge, so that graduates can start using the things they learn in the programs at the college immediately upon entering the work place. All faculty are available for extra help after class.

Strayer University Student Body

The average age of the students who attend the college is 34. Most of the students who attend the school, whether that is online or in person at one of the many campuses, are trying to further their education in order to start a start a career. The majority of students continue working full-time, many of them with families, because of the online and night class elements that are available at Strayer University. Students are very goal oriented, and are able to balance their work, personal, and school lives in order to achieve their career aspirations.

Student life at Strayer University is able to continue normally, keeping family and work life intact, while students attend classes. With so many campus locations in in the eastern United States, including but not limited to Florida, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Tennessee, there is a wide variety of locations offering a huge assortment of different things to do in each location. Also, with online programs becoming more popular every day at the college, student life need not change just to allow a student to further their education and, in most cases, their lives.
