Kentucky’s largest private college, Sullivan University is geared to students pursuing a career-centric education in one of large variety of disciplines. With campuses in Louisville, Lexington and Fort Knox, the school is accessible to a large portion of Kentucky’s population. Additionally, Sullivan University has an online “campus” offering several e-learning programs leading to accredited diplomas and degrees.

Sullivan University belongs to a group of Kentucky career institutions called the Sullivan University Systems. Other schools within the system include Sullivan University and Spencerian College.

Areas of Study

The university offers a long list of diploma and degree programs in areas such as business, culinary arts, education, information technology, legal, medical assisting, pharmacy, public safety, and travel. Depending on the course of study, students can earn a diploma, associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree. In many programs, students step through each achievement level, gaining credentials (i.e. a diploma or degree) along the way. All programs are not available in all locations.

Sullivan University Admissions and Financial Aid

Entrance requirements for diploma and associate degree programs in a high school completion credential or GED equivalent plus a satisfactory score on the school’s entrance exam. In lieu of the entrance exam, adequate ACT or SAT scores may be used, but they are otherwise not required. Applicants pursuing a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree must possess additional qualifications. Some specializations require more specific credentials.

The school’s employs a rolling admission system with no particular deadlines.

Needless to say, meeting the tuition payments is another requirement for attendance, but many students who enroll in the school are able to secure financial aid. Loans, grants, scholarships, veteran’s benefits, work /study programs may be taken advantage of by students that qualify. Sullivan University Student Life

The Louisville campus is set on a 9-acre campus. Student apartments with many amenities and with shuttle bus service to the academic campus are available. The school organizes extracurricular activities to add to complement the academic experience. On the main campus, students can take meals at a food-court style eating area. For students looking to dine upscale, there is a restaurant operated by the school’s culinary arts students.
