State University of New York at Buffalo, commonly known as University at Buffalo (UB) or SUNY at Buffalo, is a co-educational public research university. It has multiple campuses in Buffalo and Amherst, New York. It was established in the year 1846. The university offers more than 80 bachelor degrees, over 80 master degrees, and more than 70 doctoral degrees through the following academic divisions:
SUNY at Buffalo’s sports teams are known as the Buffalo Bulls.
The school is known for its programs in engineering.
Admission at University At Buffalo is selective, not open to all who apply. Getting into the school is challenging; it only admitted 52% of those who applied in 2007-2008. Three quarters of students in 2007-2008 had SAT verbal scores of at least 500. Half of math SAT scores of accepted students fell between 540 and 650.
