The Texas State Technical College - West Texas is a branch campus of the Texas State Technical College System, or TSTC. TSTC was established in 1965, and was initially known as the James Connally Technical Institute of Texas A & M University. The institute received its present name in the year 1991. The Texas State Technical College - West Texas operates campuses in Sweetwater, Breckenridge, Abilene, and Brownwood.
