The Evergreen State College, also referred as ‘Evergreen’, is an accredited public liberal arts college located in Olympia, Washington. Established in 1967, Evergreen is a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges. The college offers Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts, Master of Public Administration, Master of Environmental Studies, Master of Education, and Master in Teaching. The college enrolls more than 4,000 students every year.
Evergreen's athletics department fields more than 5 intercollegiate teams and more than 3 club teams. The campus is also home to several clubs and organizations which exist for the overall development of the students. Some of the notable alumni of the college are Lynda Barry, cartoonist and author; Charles Burns, cartoonist; and Kimya Dawson, musician.
