University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, or UTC, often referred as "Chattanooga”, is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is one of the universities under the University of Tennessee System. It was founded in 1886. The campus is spread across an area of 83 acres. The university offers more than 40 undergraduate majors and over 35 undergraduate minors. It also offers over 20 graduate programs including the highly ranked masters program in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Ph.D. programs in Education, Computational Engineering, and Physical Therapy.
Chattanooga's men's teams and athletes are nicknamed the Mocs, and women's teams and athletes are known as Lady Mocs. They compete in the NCAA Division I (FCS for football) in the Southern Conference.
