Thiel College was founded in 1866 by German Lutheran pioneers. This private college was initially located in Monaca, Pennsylvania. It currently occupies 135-acre campus in Greenville, Pennsylvania. Thiel College's recent enrollments have more than 1,000 students every year. Approximately five-percent of the student body comprises international students.
Thiel College offers a large number of associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in the fields of arts and science. Students can choose from over 60 majors and areas of study. Several writing intensive courses are also available.
The athletics department of Thiel College sponsors teams in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, track and field, softball, volleyball, and wrestling. Known as the Tomcats, the teams compete in the NCAA Division III level.
