Towson University

Towson University, or TU, also referred as Towson, is an American public university located in Towson in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is part of the University System of Maryland. TU was established in 1866. The U.S. News & World Report (2009) ranked Towson University 8th in the Public Universities-Master’s (North) category for its ‘America's Best Colleges’. TU offers more than 60 undergraduate majors, more than 35 masters degree programs, and more than three doctoral programs through the following academic divisions:

Tigerfest is the annual spring festival that features interactive activities and live musical entertainment for students at TU. Their official mascot is Doc and their sports teams are nicknamed the Towson Tigers.
