University of Idaho, also referred to as UI or "U of I", is the oldest public university located in the city of Moscow in Latah County, USA. It was established in 1889 and now offers admission to over 10,000 students every year. The school offers majors in architecture and planning, engineering, and conservation and resource management.
University of Idaho’s sports teams are nicknamed the Vandals. The official mascot of the UI sports team is Joe Vandal. The school offers sports programs in track and field, basketball, baseball, and football. The indoor stadium of the school, referred to as the "Kibbie Dome", earned the Outstanding Structural Engineering Achievement award from the ASCE in 1976.
Moscow, Idaho is home to University Of Idaho. Moscow is a town not particularly near any major cities. The school is a public institution. Degrees at University Of Idaho go up to the Doctoral degree.
The range of program offerings available from the school is especially impressive compared to its number of students. Students commonly pursue studies in engineering, architecture and planning, and conservation and resource management.
Prospective students are advised that admissions are not open to all; the school selects from among qualified applicants. Three quarters of students in 2005 had SAT verbal scores of at least 490. Half of math SAT scores of accepted students fell between 490 and 610. Since a large share of students are from out-of-state, you can assume the school has broad appeal.
University Of Idaho has a tenure system for senior faculty.
The school has 12,476 enrolled students (as of 2005).
University Of Idaho values student athletics, and belongs to the Western Athletic Conference.
