The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, popularly referred to as UAMS, was established in 1879. It is a public college and is located in Arkansas, United States. The campus of the university is spread across an area of 84 acres. UAMS, being an academic health center, includes the only medical school in Arkansas.
