University Of California Davis

University of California - Davis, also referred to as UC Davis, is a coeducational public institution under the University of California. It was established in 1905 as the University Farm and was reestablished as a general University of California campus in 1959. The institution enrolls over 25,000 students each year. UC Davis offers a wide selection of degrees from the fields of engineering, science, agricultural science and management, and liberal arts.

The institution's sports teams are called the UC Davis Aggies. The official mascot of the team is Gunrock the Mustang. Sports include track and field, baseball, basketball, football, and many others.

The most distinguished alumni of the institute include astronaut Steve Robinson, who transmitted the first ever podcast from space in 2005, and Emmy winners Steve Mcfreely and Chris Markus.
