The University of Minnesota Twin Cities, also known as “U of M”, is the oldest and largest part of the University of Minnesota system. It was established in 1851. It is located on two campuses in the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. The university offers a wide variety of degrees and programs through the following academic divisions:
The university’s intercollegiate sports teams are nicknamed the Golden Gophers. They are members of the Big Ten Conference and the Western Collegiate Hockey Association in the NCAA.
