Missouri University of Science and Technology is a co-educational, public university located in Rolla, Missouri. It was formerly known as University of Missouri–Rolla, until January 1, 2008. It is a part of the University of Missouri System. The university was established in 1870 as the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy. In 1964, it was given university status and was renamed the University of Missouri at Rolla.
