The University of North Carolina Wilmington, or UNCW, is a public university located in Wilmington, North Carolina. It was established in the year 1947. The University offers over 70 undergraduate degree programs and over 25 master degree programs. It is organized into the following academic divisions:
UNCW’s athletics department has both men and women sports teams that participate in a variety of sports. The teams are nicknamed the Seahawks. They are a member of the NCAA's Division I and take part in the Colonial Athletic Association.
