The University of North Florida, or UNF, is a public university located in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. It was founded in 1969. UNF is a member institution of the State University System of Florida. The university enrolls more than 15,000 students and employs over 500 full-time faculty. The Princeton Review of 2006 ranked UNF the 5th position in their list of "America's Best Value Colleges”. In 2008, The Princeton Review ranked UNF as the "Best Value College". The university is organized into the following academic divisions:
UNF’s sports teams are nicknamed the Ospreys. They compete at the NCAA Division I level.
