Overview of University of Saint Mary Online

Founded in 1923 in Leavenworth, Kansas, The University of Saint Mary (USM) has since that time transformed from a small boarding academy for women into what it is today – a fully accredited university with three campuses, offering 27 undergraduate degrees and six graduate degrees. In addition to its campus offerings, the University offers online degree programs, two of which are of particular interest: a Master of Arts in Teaching (Emphasis in Curriculum & Instruction) and a RN (Registered Nurse) to BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) Degree.

Areas of Study

The Master of Arts in Teaching program provides students with an online master's degree with an emphasis on curriculum and instruction. The completely online RN to BSN degree program prepares students to be ethical and effective leaders in their organizations. The BSN degree can be earned in 24 months of full-time study or approximately three years part-time.

The online student experience takes place via the Online Campus Center (OCC). Students can logon to the student portal using their assigned student ID and password. After login, students can use the OCC to go to class, access student records, register and pay for classes, check email, order textbooks, etc. Technical support is available via USM's help desk.
