The University of Tulsa, also known as TU, is a private university located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was established as the Presbyterian School for Indian Girls in 1882 and it officially became the University of Tulsa in 1920. TU confers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in diverse areas of study. TU is organized into the following academic divisions:

TU's sports teams compete in the NCAA's Division I-A Conference USA and the teams are nicknamed as the Golden Hurricanes. The University fields a varsity team in more than 7 men's sports and more than 8 women's sports.
