Utah Valley University

Utah Valley University, or UVU, gained the status of university in 2007 and was renamed from Utah Valley State College. It is a publicly-funded college located in Orem, Utah. UVU offers more than 55 bachelor degrees and over 250 career-preparation programs.

The official mascot of Utah Valley University is the Wolverine. The athletics department of the university fields men’s and women’s teams in various sports and they compete in the NCAA. They are nicknamed the Wolverines. Some of the notable alumni of the university are Ricky Allman, internationally renowned painter; Noelle Pikus Pace, World Cup Gold Medalist in Skeleton; and Ronnie Price, NBA basketball player for the Utah Jazz.
