Valparaiso University, also referred to as Valpo, is located in Valparaiso, Indiana, United States. It was established in the year 1859 and is under the Lutheran University Association. Valpo is the largest Lutheran university in the United States and has the following academic divisions under it:

The athletic teams of the university are nicknamed the Crusaders. Male students of Valparaiso University participate in sports such as basketball and swimming and diving. Female students of the university participate in basketball, swimming and diving, and volleyball. Notable alumni of the university include Michael Essany, television host; Beulah Bondi, actress; and Lowell Yerex, aviation entrepreneur.
