Depending on the campus that student decides to attend, Virginia Career Institute offers several different programs at each campus in addition to a common set of programs available at both campuses. Depending on the career that a student chooses, students can easily be graduated and working in their new career in as little as 8 months. Some of the programs offered at Virginia Career Institute include Medical Office Assistant, Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN), Surgical Technologist, and Massage Therapy.

The admission's process at Virginia Career Institute is unique when compared to most other school. At Virginia Career Institute, prospective students have one-on-one meeting with an admission's representitive, where they will go learn more about the applicant's career needs, expectations, and goals. The admission's officer will help the applicant go over a career plan and what program they should get into. Any applicant should fill out a career questionnaire and an admission's officer will contant them in a timely fashion.
