Warren Wilson College was founded as the Asheville Farm School in 1894. It merged with the Dorland-Bell School and became the Warren H. Wilson Vocational Junior College and Associated School in 1942. WWC is a part of the Work Colleges Consortium, and is located in Ashville, North Carolina.

Warren Wilson College awards Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Master of Fine Arts degrees in the fields of art, business, economics, English, creative writing, global studies, history and political science, psychology, and religious studies, among others.

Warren Wilson College sponsors soccer, basketball, swimming, cross country, and mountain biking teams. The college is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, and the teams are known as the Owls.
