Wartburg College is a public, coeducational, four-year, liberal arts college located in Waverly, Iowa, United States. Apart from its main campus in Waverly, the college also has a satellite campus, located in Denver, Colorado. The satellite campus is known as Wartburg West. The college was established in 1852 by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The college offers bachelor's degrees in a wide range of educational streams including art, computer science, modern languages, religion and applied music. The main campus at Waverly spreads across approximately 118 acres of rural land.
The athletic teams of Wartburg College are known as the Knights. The official mascot of the college is the Knight. The students of Wartburg College participate in intercollegiate football, basketball, baseball, cross country, tennis, soccer, wrestling, volleyball and softball.
