Washington State Community College, also known as WCSS, was established in 1971, and is a two-year public college located in Marietta, Ohio. The institution provides associate's degrees in more than 50 streams of study including arts, science, and business. A number of courses are also available in the field of engineering. WCSS also offers several distance learning and online programs.

Washington State Community College aims at maintaining an active athletic life. It organizes intramural sports and has several men’s and women’s teams that participate in basketball, volleyball, and softball. The campus is also home to a number of student clubs and organizations. These include the Criminal Justice Club, Associate Degree Nursing Club, Opportunity Scholars Club, and Phi Theta Kappa.
