Wentworth Military Academy, WMA, is a junior military college in Lexington, Missouri that was established in 1880. The junior college was established in 1923. Situated on a 137 acre campus, the college offers associate degrees in the fields of science, arts, business.
Students of WMA participate in athletic activities at the club, intramural and university levels. The college is affiliated with the Missouri State High School Activities Association, and is a member of the Mid-State Conference. It sponsors teams in baseball, basketball, golf, tennis, track, soccer, softball, volleyball, wrestling, cheerleading, cross country, and football. The nickname of the athletic teams is the dragons. The college also has a program which enables its students to receive an US Army commission as a Second Lieutenant after graduation.
