West Virginia University, or WVU, is a coeducational, public research university located in Morgantown, West Virginia, United States. It was established in 1867. The university offers a wide variety of degrees and programs through the following schools and colleges:
The athletic teams of WVU are nicknamed the Mountaineers. They compete in the Big East Conference as a member of the NCAA Division I.
