West Virginia University at Parkersburg, also known as WVUP, is located in Parkersburg, West Virginia, United States. It was established in 1961 as the Parkersburg Branch of West Virginia University. In 1971, it was renamed to Parkersburg Community College. It gained university status in 1989 and adopted its present name. It is a regional campus of West Virginia University or WVU. The university enrolls more than 3,500 part-time and full-time students per year. The university grants several associate degrees and certificate programs in diverse areas of study.

WVUP recognizes a number of student organizations and clubs including the Criminal Justice Club, Musicians Guild, Student Nursing Association, Film Society, Psychology Club, and Give Back on Fridays. The Student Government Association works for the overall development of students.
