West Virginia Wesleyan Institute, a private, co-educational, liberal arts college, situated in Buckhannon, West Virginia, was established in 1890 by the West Virginia Conference. This college has been ranked as one of the “Best Southeastern Colleges” by the Princeton Review in 2005 and 2007. Approximately, 1200 students enroll every year.

The College offers a large number of majors and programs of study. Conservation and Resource Management, Drama and Performing Arts as well as Business and Management are some of the programs available to the students. Graduate degrees like the Masters in Education and the Masters in Business Administration are also awarded.

The college has both men’s and women’s athletics teams who play 18 sports including basketball, cross-country, soccer, swimming and others. The college is part of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletics Conference and also competes in NCAA division II.
