Western Connecticut State University, also referred to as Western, WestConn or WCSU, is a coeducational, public university located in Danbury, Connecticut, United States. The urban campus of WestConn stretches over more than 390 acres of land. It grants admission to more than 5,000 students on an average, every year.

The schools under WestConn include the following:

The sports teams of Western Connecticut State University compete in baseball, basketball, track & field, football, lacrosse, soccer, swimming/diving, tennis, and volleyball. The official mascot is Colonials. The students can also participate in a number of club sports.
