Overview of Western School of Health and Business Careers
Western School of Health and Business Careers (WSHBC) was founded in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1980. As its name implies, the school offers a variety of career-training programs in the business and healthcare fields. Western offers associate degree and diploma programs which emphasize hands-on training and relevance to employers' needs. In 1989, a branch campus was opened in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. Western today is part of the Career Education Corporation network.

WSHBC offers two Associate in Specialized Business (ASB) Degree programs. One is in Business Administration (offered at the Monroeville campus) and the other is Paralegal Specialist (offered at the Pittsburgh campus). The school also offers Associate in Specialized Technology (AST) Degree programs in the following areas:

Both campuses are commuter sites. The Pittsburgh campus, located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh's cultural and business districts, is convenient to public transportation and can be reached from any point in the greater Pittsburgh area. Parking facilities are readily available within easy walking distance of the school. The Monroeville campus is situated in the heart of the city's well-known shopping district and has plenty of free convenient parking directly on the premises.
