Wheeling Jesuit University, also known as WJU, is a Roman Catholic, private, co-educational university located in Wheeling, West Virginia, United States. It was founded under the name of Wheeling College in 1954. The college officially opened its doors on September 26, 1955. It offers a number of Bachelor's degrees, primarily focused on liberal arts. However, some Bachelor's degrees in science and business studies are also offered by the institution.

The athletics teams of WJU are known as the Cardinals. The students of the university participate in intercollegiate cross country, golf, soccer, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, swimming, track & field, volleyball and softball.
