Harper College

Harper College is a two-year community college located in Palatine, Illinois, United States. The college was founded by a referendum in 1965 and opened in September 1967. It is named after Dr. William Rainey Harper, a pioneer in the junior college movement in the United States and first president of the University of Chicago. The Harper College campus is situated approximately 25 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. The campus is spread across an area of 200 acres.

The athletics department of the college fields both men’s and women’s sports teams that participate in a variety of sports. Their official mascot is the Hawk and the sports teams are known as the Hawks.
