Founded in 1858, Winona State University, or WSU, is primarily an undergraduate university. It is the oldest school under Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU). The university offers more than 80 undergraduate majors and over eight pre-professional programs. The main campus of WSU is located in Winona, Minnesota, and the branch campus is located in Rochester, Minnesota. WSU is organized into several academic divisions which include:

  • College of Liberal Arts
  • College of Nursing and Health Sciences
  • College of Science and Engineering

WSU’s athletic teams are nicknamed the Warriors. The university competes in Division II NCAA athletics. It is a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), North Central Conference, and Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
