Xavier University

Xavier University was established in 1831 as the Athenaeum College for men. It is the fourth oldest Jesuit University and the sixth oldest Catholic university in the United States. The campus sits upon an area of around 125 acres in Cincinnati, Ohio. The university ranked second in 2008 among top ten universities in the Midwest by the U.S. News & World Report. The university offers more than 70 academic programs and degrees and is divided into the following colleges:

  • College of Social Sciences
  • College of Health and Education
  • Williams College of Business

Xavier University competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I in the Atlantic Ten Conference. Its sports teams are known as the Musketeers and participate in basketball, cross country, baseball, volleyball, swimming, track and field, golf, tennis and soccer.
