Situated in the heart of Sacramento County California is an unincorporated district known as Arden-Arcade. The district specializes in commerce (more than 2,000 businesses), shopping (including upscale and specialty shopping centers), and residential properties. Bordering Arden-Arcade is the California State Capital, the city of Sacramento (to the west) and the community of Carmichael (to the east). Defining Arden-Arcade's southern border is the American River, and Interstate highway 80 runs along its northern border.
