Commerce History
The City of Commerce was originally called Rancho San Antonio. The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway constructed a main line through this region in 1887 which led to the industrial development of the area. The name 'Commerce' was given to this area sometime in the late 1940s. In 1960, the City of Commerce was incorporated.
