Holly Hill History
William Fleming named Holly Hill in 1877. He was one of the early settlers and had bought 4000 acres of land along the Halifax River. Soon a post office was established in the area, followed by a school and a general store. By the end of the century, Holly Hill had about 50 inhabitants. It was incorporated in 1901.
