Orland Hills History
Orland Hills is a village in Cook County. The area that is now Orland Hills was sold to land speculators in 1836-37. Farmlands and agricultural areas developed by the 1850s and caused significant population growth. In 1961, the village was incorporated and in order to clarify that the village was a part of the Orland Township, the name was changed to Orland Hills in 1986.
