Clear Lake History
Clear Lake was named after the large water body called Clear Lake on which this city is located. In 1850, two men named James Dickerson ad Joseph Hewitt heard of a beautiful lake that existed in this area and came seeking it. They reached the Clear Lake shore in 1851 with their teams and families. They settled in the area and gradually transformed the city into an oasis for the residents of Midwest.
