Hillview History

Hillview was formerly a rural farming community and remained so for a long time. Recognized as a suburb of Louisville, the city grew through the 1950s and 1960s. In fact, the community started to grow in 1954 with the construction of the Kentucky Turnpike. The larger subdivisions which included Lone Acres, Maryville, and Overdale incorporated to form Hillview in 1974.
