Millbury History

The pioneers of Millbury came to this area in 1716. The city was officially recognized in 1813. Initially Millbury, Massachusetts and Sutton were under the same parish. Later Sutton gradually expanded to become a large city and traveling from one part to the other became difficult. As a result, Sutton was split into two different towns. Millbury was one of them.
